1、首先拆下氣門罩蓋,然後搖動曲軸,使活塞在壓縮行程上止點位置(飛輪的“上止點”刻線與水箱上的刻線對齊),關閉減壓裝置。將厚薄規插入搖臂頭與氣門杆端之間,測量其間隙的大小。

2、值得注意的是,需要測量熱車和冷車時的氣門間隙,將測得的值與技術規定值進行比較。一般是冷車時進氣門間隙爲0.35毫米、排氣門間隙爲0.4毫米;

3、熱車時進氣門間隙爲0.25毫米、排氣門間隙爲0.3毫米,如不符合規定值,則進行調整。

4、調整氣門間隙時,先松開鎖緊螺母,用螺絲刀擰動調整螺栓至間隙適合爲止。再用螺絲刀頂位調整螺栓,將鎖緊螺母擰緊。然後再複查一遍間隙是否適合。

5、但在氣門搖臂頭有凹窩的情況下,調整氣門間隙時,最好是按規定順序調到氣門無間隙爲止,根據氣門調整螺絲的螺距和要求的氣門間隙退回調整螺絲相應的大約間隙圈數。此方法要比用厚薄規定准確些。對多缸柴油機要根據工作順序和氣門排列,依次進行調整。
